Finally have 100 followers here. Special thanks to my buddy @MadToons for helping me reach there as of today!

Will try to follow up with more content soon in light of this milestone!

Just a quick announcement that a small EP I worked on the past few months, "Waveforms", will be out a week from tomorrow: April 3rd at 9 AM EST. A Bandcamp exclusive for now, though will expand to other venues later on. One or two pieces you may partially recognize from Newgrounds and YouTube uploads, one of which is included with the week-long preorder, and the theme: original compositions using a single synthesizer depending on which piece. In the event that the EP does well, I may do a followup EP with more such work.

I've been meaning to pick this site back up for a while, and I guess in light of the fears over Twitter, I guess now's an even better time.

While I regret to say I don't have a lot of music to share, let alone that I can share, at this time (a problem I will try to address soon), I can follow up immediately with the next best thing: a ramble about more technical matters I've been busy with lately, though thankfully still somewhat musically related.

For several months I've had a rare Proteus 1XR rackmount synthesizer in my possession. What's rare about it is that it has additional sounds on it created not by E-mu Systems, but by a third party developer long out of business now known as InVision Interactive:

https://www.emumania.net/invision-protologic-proteus-expansion-board/

Long story short: this is such a rarity that I felt inspired to try to find a way to archive all of the sounds and data on it, and as of this past weekend, I finally succeeded to the best of my ability: I have created ROM dumps of all of the exclusive sample data, as well as the firmware (which all non-editable presets were stored in). In addition, I've had a Python script for a while, coded completely from scratch, that can convert SysEx patch data from the Proteus modules into ARIA-compatible SFZ files that I'm proud to say generally sound much more faithful than the current offerings by Digital Sound Factory.

Note: however, for obvious legal reasons, I will not share any of the original sample data that isn't still available legally, so don't expect me to provide you with any standard Proteus 1, Proteus 2, or Proteus 3 samples: this is the only warning to the community. If there is enough interest, however, I may provide the script, as well as the template SFZ files also needed for full functionaity of the script.

Thank you all for reading, and rest assured, I will find the time to upload one WIP piece of music I'm working on that, to tie it all together, uses sounds from my ROM rip.

May as well disclose that one of my big projects as of late is finally coming to an end: I made all of the music for this upcoming game (August 26th):

Over three hours of music composed for an innovative hybrid of game genres. It was a pleasure to be involved with a project as big as this!

The OST will initially be on Steam exclusively, and will be the only place to find the complete score. Slightly condensed editions will be made available on my Bandcamp, Spotify, iTunes, and others later on, and we’re also working out the final stages of preparing a physical release as well, though that will wait until after the release date.

Hope everyone enjoys what they see and hear!

A long-time friend of mine has finally decided to join Twitch, and some of his musical choices are courtesy of yours truly.

Also just wanted to thank everyone for the recent follows and comments since I joined the VGM Challenge II and collaborated with Ztoons for his Dino Crisis animation. It's pleasantly surprising to see this page might slowly but surely be taking off now.

I've been trying to get more exposure for my work. That being said, I'm pleasantly surprised how much higher my views are here than for even my typical YouTube upload. Even Soundcloud, as great as the concept is for musicians, has its own quirks that I have issues with, particularly the limited amount of music you can have on your account unless you're the highest-paying premium member.

I particularly appreciate everyone who took the time to listen to my commissioned piece "Flying in Space". That being said, I think I will try to dedicate more time to sharing my work here. Thanks everyone for your support!
